Avatar Suien

(Excerpt from “A Brief History of The Avatars” Pages 1722-34)

Avatar Suien RìMian is a notable figure (most remembered by the confusion that riddled her term) that existed between 1600-1500 years before our time, although records are not descriptive on this fact. Needless to say, this was Far before our noteworthy ways of determining whom the Avatar might be before their avatar spirit is awakened. According to the cycle, they were able to guess the location of the birth in reason, and by charts and spirit delving; The Northern Water Tribe’s seers predicted that the avatar would be born on a certain night, under certain complications. But when such complications occurred upon the appointed night, a surprise lay in wait for the seers. The woman gave birth to twins.

The avatar’s early childhood has been overshadowed by time, but some important facts still remain. The confusion in whether or not the young boy Ensui or the young girl Suien possessed the avatar spirit being one of those. Because of Tradition, the seers and the royal family embraced Ensui as the obvious answer because of their thickly male Avatar linage, though there was a scattering of the opposite sex. Ensui grew in strength, ability and arrogance in his water bending, while his sister was placed within the healing huts. Suien’s love of the Air nomads and their art also should be mentioned, following a brief visit by a group of the aforementioned to her city. The golden feather that she is often portrayed as wearing was given to her by one of the monks that were passing through.

It was in their 13th year that Ensui found out why he was treated so particularly amongst the tribe, over hearing a conversation between a seer and his mother. It is said that he did not waste time in telling his sister what he had heard; quite specifically leaving out the fact that she might be the avatar instead. Rather then confront anyone on this, in her anger she leaves the city, taking her father’s elk Hayase (for more info see Avatar’s Animal guides beginning on page 2984) in the process.

During this time a war was beginning to brew in the earth kingdom, where the current ruler, King Kigai (for more info see Notable figures and events beginning on 3435), began a fascist movement in which one believed that because the earth benders controlled the earth that all beings needed to survive, their kingdom should control all ground, even that of other nations. Using Ensui as a false avatar, he gathered many to his cause. The war lasted 19 years, a rather short time in comparison to the current century long war, but what seemed to be ages to Avatar Suien and her companions as they attempted to calm the movement and develop Suien’s skills far enough to take on the earth kingdom capital.

Suien was well known for her love for practical jokes, riding, flying, and sweets, her sharp temper and dislike of fishing and of bad puns.

Her weapon is the highlight of the Northern Water Tribe’s Treasury, who until to this day deny their mistake, saying that it was only Fate.



((Waugh, For three days notice, I think this came out rather well. Its probably really low of me to create an avatar, I’m positive it’s been done to death, but I couldn’t help myself. I enjoyed this way too much. I apologize to those who can read those symbols, I’m sure it makes no sense since they’re purely for good looks. I’m proud of her hair style, and of course, the elk (who might look a wee bit familiar since I stared a picture of the elk off of Princess Mononoke until my eyes bled to make it look decent.) and the lowest face. While I’m sure many reasons could come for that face to be used, I was thinking more of a *moving so fast that your eyes tear up despite the fact that your having the time of your life* type expression. Anyway, this is for ‘s contest. *crosses fingers and hides from impending flames* ))
